Dew Point -
The dew point is the temperature at which water can condense in the atmosphere. Some
homes use evaporative coolers or "swamp boxes" to blow moisture into a room. They may be
used in addition to air conditioners or may be the home's only cooling system. They are not as
effective, however, once the dew point reaches 55 degrees and the air is saturated with
moisture. The dew point varies with the temperature, but not to the same extent as relative
humidity. Dew point readings are generally included in Arizona weather reports.
